I have made a commitment to myself - that this project I have been working on since 2009 will finally come to a close. At least in one way.

These are old photos.

It’s where everything started.

I am reaching into my old journals and pulling bits out.

I’ve kept journals since I was 13. It’s been a huge part of my life. It’s strange to dip into them for the purpose of sharing. They’ve always been so private. It is also a little exciting.

I am working on this project at The Griffin Museum in their Atelier program with Emily Belz. It’s been a wild ride. We will have a show this summer. I can’t wait to see where this project ends up.

I think something that is easy to forget, when you begin to make art for a career, is that sometimes it is good to just iterate.

One of my electives for the Furniture Design Certificate Program is an Immersive Design class. It is so fun to be in an environment where we talk about, well, environments!

Each class we will have a few hours to put together a fun little experience for the class. Last week we did one centered around TOUCH.

We made a box with four holes. Inside the box is a mess of textures, centered around a damp sponge full of beads. The objective was the find The Key hidden inside.

It was strange and playful and gross and silly. Encountering each others hands in the blind box was surprising and weird!

It felt to me like we had created a head and were rooting around inside someones brain, looking for the key to new memories.

It was such an honor to be curating this space. I had incredible help - from all the amazing MC’s to our invaluable volunteers.

I’ve been having a blast, playing in the studio.

I’ve fallen fully in love with puppets. (It was only a matter of time…) Meet Classified. We are annoying all our friends.

Started classes at Mass Art for the Furniture Design Certificate program and learned how to round an edge with chisels. I felt unstoppable!

I put a monitor in the studio (game changer) and started taking my inspiration game really seriously.

So many people from the beautiful and strong film community of New England came out to our little premiere!

It was so wonderful to see everyone and watch this incredible project Madeline wrote and directed on the big screen.

It was so much fun to act in + design this pilot with Madeline. (Even tho making these puppets and puppet set really tested me!)
